Refund policy

At Linguise, we want our subscription and refund terms to be clear and transparent before you subscribe. 

We want to ensure you are 100% happy with the services. If you have any technical or sales queries, please do not hesitate to contact us using the support form from the dashboard.

 

Subscription Activation and Billing

Your paid subscription begins as soon as you select a plan and successfully complete the payment process.

All plans are billed in advance, either on a monthly or yearly basis, depending on the option you choose. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled before renewal.

By subscribing, you authorize Linguise to charge your selected payment method for all applicable subscription fees and any related charges during the billing period.

 

Free Trial Before Purchase

Before upgrading to a paid plan, you have access to a full free trial period.

This allows you to test:

  • translation quality
  • website compatibility
  • available features
  • technical performance

The free trial uses the same translation engines and service environment as the paid plan, so you can fully evaluate the service before making a purchase.

Refund Policy

Subscription Fees Are Final

Because Linguise is an immediately activated digital service, all subscription payments are generally final and non-refundable once the billing period begins.

This is because activation instantly allocates:

  • third-party translation API resources (such as Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, and DeepL)
  • server resources
  • operational infrastructure costs

These costs are incurred immediately and cannot be recovered once the subscription is activated.

For this reason, no refunds, credits, or prorated adjustments are provided after activation.

No Refunds for Translation Quality

Linguise by default uses AI-powered Neural Machine Translation technology.

Translation quality may vary depending on:

  • source language complexity
  • content structure
  • industry-specific terminology
  • translation engine capabilities

Because the same translation engines are available during the free trial, refunds cannot be issued for:

  • dissatisfaction with translation accuracy
  • grammar or wording preferences
  • cultural or contextual interpretation
  • expectation of human-level translation quality

By subscribing, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the translation quality and accept the AI-generated output as provided (you are free to edit the translation results).

Limited Refund Exceptions

Refunds may only be considered in limited cases, including:

  • duplicate billing
  • unauthorized charges
  • verified billing processor errors

All such cases are reviewed individually and do not create an automatic entitlement to a refund.

Any billing dispute must be submitted within 30 days of the charge date.

Refund Requests Within 7 Days

For requests submitted within 7 calendar days of the transaction, Linguise may, at its sole discretion, offer one of the following options depending on service usage.

1. Full Store Credit Balance (No Fees)

This option is available only if service usage (AI translations generated) remains minimal during the new billing period.

No administrative fees apply to store credits.

2. Partial Cash Refund

If a refund to the original payment method is granted, it will be subject to a fixed administrative fee of $20.00 (or 5% of the transaction amount, whichever is higher).
This fee covers non-refundable banking commissions, API resource allocation, and
administrative handling.

3. Usage-Based Deduction

If the service has already been actively used, Linguise reserves the right to:

  • deny the refund request, or
  • deduct the value of consumed translation resources

This includes API calls and generated translations during the billing period.

Cancellation Policy

Canceling your subscription stops future renewals only.

The subscription remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.

No prorated refund is provided for unused time after cancellation.

EU Consumer Notice

If you are located in the European Union or are a consumer under DIRECTIVE 2011/83/EU:

By accepting these Terms and purchasing a subscription, you expressly request the immediate performance and activation of the digital Service. You acknowledge and agree that:

  1. The Service is a digital content product requiring immediate download and activation
  2. Once Linguise grants you access to the Service, your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal is forfeited, to the maximum extent permitted by EU law
  3. You understand that this waiver applies only to refunds based on withdrawal, and does not exclude mandatory consumer protections under applicable law
  4. You confirm that you have reviewed, tested (via the free trial), and accept the translation quality and Service functionality

As permitted under applicable EU law, this means the 14-day withdrawal right is waived once service access is granted, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections required by law.
